To capture a windows 7 Image with XP mode configured follow this steps. 1. Install XP mode on the computer you are using as a reference machine. 2. Open XP mode Virtual machine and install the applications you would like to use in XP mode. 3. Copy a shortcut of the appliction to the All users folder, C:\Documents and Settings\Users. 4. Run sysprep c:\Windows\System32\sysprep with a answer file get the windows key from c:\Program Files\XP Mode\key.txt. This will close the Windows XP installation making sure that when you boot the Windows XP VM, will get a different SID. If you dont do this the SID will be the same for all Windows XP VMs thats a big NO NO. 5. After running sysprep on the Windows XP VM, you can catch the image with MDT 2010.
